The Forever Young  Kids’ Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Hillside Park, Winola Road, South Abington Township (near Clarks Summit State Hospital).

Registration/check-in will begin at 8 AM and fishing will take place from 9 AM to 12 PM. Prizes will be awarded immediately after 12 PM and include “The Bud Award,” “Catch of the Day,” and the “Biggest Fish” awards by age group. A t-shirt will be given to the first 150 check-ins at the event. Lunch and bait will also be provided.

Derby Registration forms are available at the Library as it is strongly encouraged to pre-register beforeFriday, June 10th. Additionally, the Abington Community Library Storywalk® will be available during the Forever Young Fishing Derby from 11AM to 1PM. Abington patrons may register for the Summer Reading Club for children through 6th grade at that time too.
