September Collection

For over 20 years, Schaeffer’s Retreat Homeless Shelter in Carbondale has been providing bed and board to people in need. A privately run non-profit, it relies on donations of non-perishable food and personal care items to continue aiding individuals and families who have fallen on hard times.

You can help the Schaeffer’s continue their mission by making a donation at the library throughout the month of September. Stop by and check out the wish list of needed products, and find out what you can do as Schaeffer’s prepares for the hard winter months ahead.
