Donate Your Cell Phone for Soldiers

October Library Collection

If you have old cell phones lying around and don’t know what to do with them, bring them to the library during the month of October. Your old phone can help soldiers and veterans connect with their families.

Founded in 2004 by two children, Robbie and Brittany Bergquist, who were 12 and 13 at the time, Cell Phones for Soldiers recycles used cell phones, smart phones and tablets and uses the money made in that process to help soldiers and veterans in need pay the phone bills they rack up staying in touch with their families.

It’s a simple gift that gives back to America’s bravest who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe.
