Paint Your Way Through Stress

We live a in fast paced world. We overschedule ourselves for events and activities and move through our tasks list at rocket speed, but is this the best way to live well?

A recent study from Drexel University examined the effects of making art on stress-related hormones in your body. The study experts found that 45 minutes of creative activity significantly lessens stress in the body, regardless of artistic experience or talent. Take a look at the entire article here. 

Lucky enough for you, our library and the libraries with our county system offer a variety of artsy programs that will help you de-stress!

Join us on Saturday, Aug. 19th from 6 to 8PM for a Sip N’ Paint with Sharon McArdle. A $15 fee is due upon registration. Registration closes Aug. 7th. Fundraising event. Proceeds benefit intergenerational and youth programs at the library. This program is for adults and focuses on Civic and Social Literacy as part of PA Forward.
