Donation to Teens Thank You

The Carbondale Public Library wants to thank several area businesses for their donations to various Teen endeavers.

Hendrick Manufacturing (Teen Read)
Steve & Irenes (Teen Advisory Board Scholarship Fund Basket Raffle)
Subway – Carbondale (Teen Advisory Board Scholarship Fund Basket Raffle)

Teem Read an annual summer reading program for teens in grades 7-12. The program asks that participants read and rate books they check out from the county libraries. Hundreds of young adults throughout Lackawanna County enjoy this program.  It is our goal to instill the love of reading in our young adult population. The library “rewards” each participant and holds a raffle at the end of the program.

The Carbondale Public Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) raises money for Teen Advisory Board Scholarship Fund, a $500 scholarship for a graduating senior that has been an active member of the TAB. Each August we put together raffle baskets for Carbondale’s Pioneer Nights event to benefit this fund.

We are very appreciative of these donations sponsoring programs for Teens.
