Interior Renovations Beginning Monday, September 11

The Albright Memorial Library will be undergoing interior renovations beginning on Monday, September 11.

The library hopes to remain open during the renovations; however, entrances and some sections of the library may be temporarily unavailable. Any temporary closures to the entrances and sections will be announced on our website. A second announcement will be released when these entrances and sections reopen.

Signs will be posted at the library directing patrons where to enter and exit. The elevator should remain open and can be accessed in the walkway between the library and the Scranton Cultural Center.

Patrons are encouraged to visit the library’s website at or call (570) 348-3000. In the event that the library has to close due to renovations, an announcement will be made on the website and over the phone.

The library expects the renovations to conclude by December 31, 2017.

The Lackawanna County Children’s Library, Nancy Kay Holmes Branch Library, and Library Express will be open regular hours for patrons.
