Did you know that October is Random Acts of Kindness Month?
Doing something kind for someone else not only makes them feel good, but you too!
Why not try one of the ideas below? Remember: it doesn’t cost anything to be nice. And, you never know how much your act of kindness might mean to someone who may be having a hard time.
-Compliment a stranger.
-Leave a note inside a library book for the next reader.
-Write someone a thank-you note.
-Keep your eyes open and help someone who is struggling: hold the door, carry groceries, or offer a smile.
-Let someone go ahead of you in line.
-Donate clothes or food.
-Take a treat to your local fire or police station.
-Pick up litter while you are taking a walk.
-Include someone who seems left out.
-Listen, and don’t interrupt.
-Say thank you.
-Give up your seat to someone else.
-Call a family member you haven’t spoken to in a while.
