S.T.E.A.M. Quest at the Children’s Library

S.T.E.A.M. Quest is a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math based after school program exploring problem-solving skills through hands-on art and science based projects . STEAM QUEST Flier 2017
Over the course of 20 weeks, students will work under the direction of professional artists to brainstorm creative ways to solve problems using art, science and design. Students participating in the program will be introduced to the library’s catalog, referencing the collection while doing research.
In this program, children from grades k-8th grade will also work collaboratively with mentors from Big Brothers.

6th- 8th grade PROTECTION AND BEAUTY In teams, students will design an outdoor art installation that incorporates beauty in nature but is also a place of protection. Location of class: Lackawanna County Children’s Library in Scranton Time: 4:00 PM- 5:30 PM Dates: Wednesdays October 18, 25; November 15, 29; December 6, 13, 20; January 17, 24, 31; February 14, 21, 28; March 7, 14, 21, 28; April 4, 11, 18 Showcase- April 21 at the Everhart Museum
