Attention parents and kids! Fall programs are announced for the Carbondale Public Library. Some returning programs as well as new programs are here for kids. Take a look below. Please note some programs require registration. You can stop by the library to register, or give us a call at 570-282-4281.

Freeplay & Storytime
Thursdays / 11 AM – 12:15 PM
Join us Thursday mornings and enjoy playtime and storytime with your children and new friends. Let your children unwind with others their age, while working on early learning skills (shhh they don’t know they are learning). For infants to preschool! Siblings are welcome.

Builder’s Club (Ages 6-12) & Builder’s Club Jr. (Ages 2-5)
3^rd Monday Each Month @ 4 PM

4H/STEAM Club
Last Thursday Each Month @ 6 PM

It is time for you to join 4-H and reach your potential! 4-H is open to children ages 5 to 18. You will learn leadership skills, work on projects of your choice, make new friends, and so much more! Choose from a variety of science and art projects to work on. For more information, contact the Lackawanna County Extension Office at 570-963-6842.

Sing It! Move It!
6 Week Session/Mondays @ 1:30 PM (Note a one week break.)
Following Dates: October 22^nd & 29^th, November 5^th, 19^th & 26^th, December 3^rd
A Music & Movement Program for young children with dancing, singing, and musical instruments. For Ages 2-5

Home School: Motion
Friday, October 19^th: Preschool-Grade 2 @ 1:30 & Grades 3-6 @ 2:30
Preschool-Grade 2: Experiment with motion by racing cars down ramps, launching “bugs” towards the target and more!
Grades 3-6: Explore potential and kinetic energy by building a roller coaster model for marbles.
Please register. Families with children in both age groups may choose the time that works best for them.

Gross Science (A Kids Club – STEAM Program)

Are you sure you want to touch that? Guess the item hidden in the box, and more gross activities. For ages 8-12. Registration is required.
