Upcoming Programs for Teens

Attention teens and parents! Fall programs are announced for the Carbondale Public Library. Some returning programs as well as new programs are here for teens, grades 7-12. Take a look below.

Stop Bullying Today
Monday, October 1st @ 6:30 PM
Imagine the possibilities . . . if . . . bullying stopped today. Mark Walters, school principal and director of guidance, presents strategies for parents and teens to deal with bullying. Parents and teens are encouraged to attend together.

Writing Club
1st & 3rd Thursdays Each Month @ 6 PM
Upcoming Dates: October 4th & 18th
Be creative! Share your writing. Explore creative writing topics.Let your inner writer come alive. Facilitated by Samantha Temple, an English student at Marywood University. For grades 7-12.

Teen Art Club
2nd Tuesdays Each Month @ 3:30 PM
Upcoming Dates: October 9th, November 13th, December 11th
Calling art enthusiast. This is your chance to share your work with others, work on projects, and help each other out. All Levels are welcome. For Grades 7-12.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
Last Monday Each Month @ 6:30 PM
Upcoming Dates: September 24th, October 29th, November 26th (No December Meeting)
TAB is a group for young adults (Grades 7-12) to become involved in the community, and express your ideas for programming, book selections, etc. Need services hours for school? This is a fun way to fulfill volunteer requirements. New members are always welcome.

4H/STEAM Club
Last Thursday Each Month @ 6 PM
Upcoming Dates: September 24th, October 25th, November 29th
It is time for you to join 4-H and reach your potential! Choose from a variety of science and art projects to work on. 4-H is open to children ages 5 to 18. You will learn leadership skills, work on projects of your choice, make new friends, and so much more! For more information, contact the Lackawanna County Extension Office at 570-963-6842.

Teen Reading Lounge: Read! Explore! Create!
An interactive book discussion and hands-on activities will be returning in November. More details to be announced soon.
