Do You “You Live Here, You Should Know This!”??

SCRANTON, PA – What was the Vin-Fizz? When was the Keystone Academy founded? You can learn the answers to these local history questions and more on Saturday, May 4 at the 10th annual “You Live Here, You Should Know This” local history game show! Hosted by the Lackawanna Historical Society, the games will begin at 6 p.m. at the Slocum Hollow Bar at the Lodge at Montage Mountain.

Players on eight teams will answer Jeopardy- style questions about people, places, and events in Lackawanna County, with new categories and special speed rounds to test players’ knowledge of the obscure. Teams will consist of NEPA personalities and some of your favorite local history experts. The 2018 champion team representing the Lackawanna Historical Society will return, along with popular favorites Senator John Blake, Scranton Public Library staff, and Riverside School District administration.Stay tuned for special guests as well! Winners will receive bragging rights for one year as “Local History Legends of Lore!”

The event is sponsored by The Lackawanna Historical Society and planned by local students from Valley View and Riverside High Schools. General admission is $10 and $5 for students. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. The event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
