Read His Favorites List

“Read any good books lately?” is a conversation starter for many readers for there is something endlessly fascinating to a reader about what other people read. When the New York Times asked Bruce Springsteen what books were important to him, they got some surprising answers.

It turns out that Springsteen, one of the biggest stars in the world of music, is a reader – and a reader of challenging and serious books. Maria Popova, publisher of the online newsletter, “Brain Pickings,” wasn’t surprised. “It is no coincidence that most highly creative people are voracious readers,” she wrote.
