On the Same Page Begins This Month

Free Books, Book Discussions Offered

Runs Through March & April

“Need You Now,” a novel by bestselling author James Grippando, is the 2015 selection for On the Same Page in Lackawanna County, the annual community-wide reading program sponsored by the Lackawanna County Library System.

The book was described by Booklist as “a timely and solid plot-driven read” when it was published in 2012. “Readers looking for a great thriller will see a master at the top of his game in “Need You Now”,” said the Associated Press review of the book.

The “On the Same Page” selection promises to be something that readers will recognize. A Bernie Madoff-like character has committed suicide leaving behind a $60 billion Ponzi scheme. A young Wall Street advisor and his girlfriend must untangle the mess left behind or they risk being the victims of some very nasty types who were swindled by the deceased man. It’s a novel that will please readers who like the kind of book made popular by authors like Gillian Flynn and John Grisham.

“On the Same Page,” launched in 2008, gives people the opportunity to read and discuss a good book. Book discussions will take place at libraries throughout the county led by writer and editor Stephanie Longo.

You can sign up for “On The Same Page” and receive a free copy of the book at any Lackawanna County library.
