Samsung Tablet Was The Grand Prize

Mary Whisler of Scranton won a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 inch tablet for participating in “Cabin Fever,”

the mid-winter book club for adults at Lackawanna County Libraries. Her name was chosen in a raffle from among those who signed up for the program and who completed at least three books during the month of February.

Mary is a patron of Library Express at the Steamtown Mall. The retired nurse is a voracious reader who spends up to eight hours a day reading. She admits to having no experience with a tablet and will rely on her daughter to teach her how to use it. But, she says, she won’t give up physical books any time soon.
