PA One Book, Every Young Child

Pennsylvania’s One Book, Every Young Child is a statewide initiative to promote the importance of early literacy, and encourage adults to engage children in talking about the book. For more information about the program visit their website @ www.paonebook.org

This years selection “Stripes of All Types” written and illustrated by Susan Stockdale features animals from around the world, and explores how these animals benefit from their stripes.

Many libraries will be having programs featuring “Stripes of All Types.”

Please call ahead, some libraries require registration.*

    Stripes of All Types
    Thursday / April 10th / 4-5 PM
    An interactive storytime featuring “Stripes of All Types.” For Children.
  • Carbondale Public Library (570-282-4281)
    • Family Fun Night: Stripes of All Types
      Monday / May 12th / 6:30 PM
      Listen to the book “Stripes of All Types” by Susan Stockdale, the 2014 PA One Book Every Young Child. After we read the story children can participate in several hands-on activity stations.
    • “Stripes of All Types” will also be featured at our weekly Toddler Freeplay and Storytime (May 15th @ 11 AM).
  • Nancy Kay Holmes Branch Library
    “Stripes of All Types” will be featured at Family Place on April 23rd @ 11 AM, and Story Time on April 25th @ 10 AM.
  • North Pocono
    “Stripes of All Types” will be featured on April 29th @ 11 AM.
