teepee

On Wednesday, July 15, from 4 to 7 PM the Abington Community Library is having a unique event, a Pow Wow, co-sponsored by the Abington Heights Civic League, The Belize Fund & The Portal Institute, Inc., which will be relocating to the Abingtons.

This event ties in to our summer reading theme based on HEROES, as Native Americans were the original heroes of America. The event will include an authentic teepee set up, crafts, face painting, the Manning’s Ice Cream Mobile, displays of Native American artifacts and art, and other activities. Highlighting the evening will be  continuous dance and song presented by the Red Storm Drum & Dance Troupe. This event is free and open to the public. For all ages.
