The Lackawanna River Corridor Association (LRCA) will host RiverFest 2014 on Saturday May 31, 2014. This Regional Rite of Spring is an event that celebrates the Lackawanna River and the communities in its Watershed. A full day of river activities: the Canoe-A-Thon, the Duck-A-Thon and the River Regatta; music: regional bands provide the entertainment; educational and environmental displays; food and fun activities for all ages! Experienced canoeists, kayakers and casual paddlers, will be out on the Lackawanna River at 10:00AM arriving at the RiverFest Finish Line—West Olive Street near Scranton High School. Live music starts at noon. Resident and businesses are encouraged to be part of the River Regatta. This fun event involves creativity, imagination, lunacy and zaniness!!! Good food and fun for the whole family will be available all day. Admission is free for Finish Line activities located at the Scranton Riverwalk off Olive Street.
