Super Heroes of Invention at the Children’s Library !

StrakaWednesday, July 15 at 10 AM, Field Paleontologist Mike and Roberta will explore the world of inventions and the heroes that invented/ discovered them. Your patrons will be introduced to Archimedes and find out why things float. We’ll do an experiment and see if rocks float. Who invented balloons? They will bring along a skull of a real Triceratops and discuss how the first Triceratops was discovered in 1887. In addition, Mike and Roberta will cover the origins of playing cards, the toothbrush, x rays and a host of fascinating discoveries. With each super hero, inventor, we will do an experiment to demonstrate the invention or discovery. In addition, they will host the “What’s That Invention Game Show”, lots of audience participation and a touch of magic.
