Block Play Is Back

Block Play program returns to The Carbondale Public Library. 

Children and their families will build, talk, explore, and create together!

Not only is building with blocks fun it also develops many learning skills. Some examples include:

  • Literacy and Language: Introduction of Vocabulary, Creating Stories
  • Math: Measuring, Comparing, Couting
  • Science: Balancing, Ramps, Stable Foundations
  • Social: Sharing, Communication, Working Together
  • Creativity and Exploration: Free Expression, Imagination
  • Physical Skills: Motor Skills (lifting, carrying), Hand Eye Coordination
  • Problem Solving: Planning, Cause and Effect

And these are just some of the great benefits children get from playing with blocks.

  • December 14th (2nd week in December)
