Lunch and Learn @ Amber’s Restaurant
Presented by the Between the Covers Book Club
Wednesday, October 21st @ Noon
Featuring Kathleen Purcell Munley and Attorney Paul Mazzoni, authors of “The Reach and Keen Murders.” $20/person Benefits the Carbondale Public Library. Ticket’s must be purchased at the library by October 17th.

Between the Covers Book Club: “Catcher in the Rye”
Thursday, October 29th @ 1 PM
This year’s Scranton Reads selection, “Catcher in the Rye” by J.D. Salinger, will be discussed with a guest facilitator.

Teen Advisory Board

We want to plan programs for you, but need your help. Let us know what teens are interested in. For grades 7-12.

Read Explore Create
Teen Reading Lounge coming in November!
An interactive book discussion featuring a creative project. Book and dates will be announged soon, but you can still let Leigh-Ann know if you are interested in attending, so we can make sure we order enough books for everyone. You get to keep your book. For grades 6-12.

Star Wars Scavenger Hunt
Celebrate Star Wars Reads Day (October 10th) all month long with a Star Wars  scavenger hunt at the library. Come anytime in October to participate. Complete the scavenger hunt, and pick out a FREE book from the Children’s Book Sale cart. For Grade 6 and under.

Freeplay and Storytime
Thursdays @ 11 AM – 12:15 PM
Join us Thursday mornings and enjoy playtime and storytime with your children and new friends. Let your children unwind with others their age while learning how to interactive with their peers. For infants to preschool! Siblings are welcome.

Block Party
October 19th (3rd Mondays) @ 6 PM
Children ages 3-8, and their families are invited to the library once a month to build, talk, and create together. Building offers so many benefits for children’s learning  skills!

Home School: Underground Railroad Myths
Friday, October 23rd @ 1:30 PM
How much do you really know about the Underground Railroad? Join us as we explore many of the myths surrounding the Underground Railroad. For grades 4-12, siblings are welcome. Registration is appreciated.

Family Movie Night – Hocus Pocus (PG)
Thursday, October 29th @ 6 PM
The whole family is invited to the library to watch “Hocus Pocus” projected on our wall, and enjoy popcorn. Bring a blanket/towel to sit on, and wear your pajamas. For the whole family. Registration is appreciated.

Carbondale City-Wide Trick-or-Treat
