Show Your Love This Month

 Everybody knows that Valentine’s Day is celebrated in February, but did you know that this month is also a time to show love for libraries? We are fortunate in Lackawanna County to have a robust and healthy library system with 10 libraries serving people of all ages. Lest we take them for granted, let’s use Library Lovers’ Month to show support and appreciation for these wonderful places.

There are many ways that you can show your love. Support your library’s fund raisers. Every library in the System has them and they pay for programming and help build collections. Donate used books to your library’s book sale. Volunteer your time at the library. The library staff works very hard and they can use the help. Speak up for libraries in Lackawanna County by writing a letter to the editor explaining why you love libraries. And finally, just tell us. We love to hear that the people who use Lackawanna County libraries love them.
