Show Us Your Book Face

Post A Picture, Win a Prize

Next week, March 4 to 10, is Teen Tech Week, held annually to encourages young people to take advantage of the great digital tools offered at libraries they can use to make their own podcasts, videos, apps, games, wearables, or other technology-based creations.

And to show what they can do, the Lackawanna County Library System invites teens to post their own “book faces” on Instagram. The best ones will receive a $10 iTunes gift card.

A book face is basically a selfie with your face and a book. Check out these examples for ideas of how to create your own and post yours by March 17th at Instagram #LCLSTTW.

If you haven’t done so recently, stop by any Lackawanna County library and check out the digital resources that you can use for free.

If you want to do creative work, ask about Creation Station. It’s a service at the Library that includes Adobe programs such as Premiere, for video editing, Audition, a workstation for mixing, finishing, & editing audio, PhotoShop, a program for working with photos and other digital images, and Illustrator, an application for working with visual art and graphics.
