Libraries Offer Creation Station Training

Adobe Programs & Macs Available @ the Library

Artists and hobbyists who want to work with audio files, photos, video and graphics can now learn how at the Library!

Adobe programs including Premiere, for video editing, Audition, a workstation for mixing, finishing, & editing audio, Photoshop, a program for working with photos and other digital images, and Illustrator, an application for working with visual art and graphics, are available at Creation Station, a service introduced at libraries throughout the Lackawanna County Library System last summer.

Creation Stations are installed at Abington Community Library, North Pocono Public Library, Valley Community Library and the Scranton Public Library.

Libraries that don’t have permanent Creation Stations benefit from mobile units that travel to the other libraries in the System on a rotating basis.

“Libraries work very hard to be on the cutting edge of communications technologies, and that means providing our patrons with the tools they need,” said Mary Garm, Library System administrator. “Creation Station puts creativity and communications technology in libraries where everyone has access to them.”

Training in Creation Station programs planned for the rest of April and throughout May. Check here and contact the Library to register for the program that interests you.
