Kids Love Story Times

Weekly @ Lackawanna County Libraries

The most popular events at Lackawanna County libraries each week are story times for young children. Every library in Lackawanna County has them, and they always draw a lot of kids and their parents or caregivers.

Kids love them because they are fun, but research shows that reading to children from an early age is good for them, too. It fosters a love of learning, helps kids get ready for school, promotes language skills and encourages creativity.

There are story times at Lackawanna County libraries for babies (newborn to 2 years), toddlers (ages 2 to 3), and preschoolers (3 to 5).

There are lots of other activities for young children at the libraries, too, including building block parties, arts and crafts activities, music and more.

Check them out at any Lackawanna County library.
