COVID-19 Statement from North Pocono Public Library

Dear Patrons of the North Pocono Public Library,

The North Pocono Public Library (NPPL) is making every effort to provide a safe space for our staff and patrons. Because the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending social distancing (keeping six feet between two people) and avoiding close contact with people who are sick, NPPL is canceling all programs until Monday, March 23, 2020. We are trying to do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 while also continuing to provide services to our patrons.

NPPL is observing the following practices:

  • We are open and operating under normal business hours.
  • All programs are canceled until Monday, March 23, 2020. You may keep up to date through our Facebook page and website.
  • We will continue to get updates and guidance from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the CDC.
  • We are cleaning and sanitizing our library, with a focus on high-traffic areas.
  • We are encouraging all library visitors to wash their hands.
  • We are cleaning and removing toys from our children’s area.
  • We are cleaning all items as they are returned to the library.

Of our patrons, we ask that you do not come into the library if you are not feeling well or are sick. We also ask that you wash or sanitize your hands upon entering the building.

Please follow our Facebook page and website for updates as the situation is changing frequently.

Sincerely,

North Pocono Public Library
