One of my favorite programs we offer at the library is our monthly Drop-In Help Desk. It’s a time for people to come into the library and ask a staff member how to use their device or ask any related questions about technology. Sometimes, it is a simple fix like teaching someone to download an app to their iPad. Sometimes, the question is a bit more complex like how to set up a new laptop. Whatever it is, I love the people I get to meet because invariably, we swap stories and I always get a few great book recommendations.
While we are all sheltering in place, we are offering this program again, but virtually! Once a week, you can set up a time with a staff member and have a one-on-one session where you can ask your technology questions. This week, our Virtual Drop-In Help Desk is on Wednesday, May 6 at 3 PM. You can email RRoberts@albright.org to reserve your spot. We are conducting the sessions on Zoom (a meeting platform) but you can also request a phone call if you need help with Zoom or prefer a phone call instead.
We want to ensure you can use your devices easily while at home and can access our online programs and databases during this difficult time. If you need help with something, please let us know!
