Children’s Library Moving to Curbside-Only Service on Monday, December 14

Dear Patrons,

Due to the ongoing and projected surge in COVID-19 cases, the Lackawanna County Children’s Library will, effective on Monday, December 14, begin limiting in-person services.  The limitations will stay in effect through January 2, 2021 at which time they will be reevaluated.

Available Curbside services include:

Borrow Library Materials

  • Pick up library items placed on hold
  • Participate in the Winter Loan Program (When you borrow 10 or more items, you can request a 6-week loan for them)

Readers Advisory

  • Call us to request books and movies you’d like to borrow and ask for recommendations. Call (570) 348-3000 ext. 3015.

Curbside Service Hours & Location

Monday through Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Friday & Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pick up location is in Dix Court (the alley between the Albright and the Children’s library). Enter from Mulberry Street (between Posh and Parking Garage).

Ring the bell on the side door of the Children’s Library building located in Dix Court. Follow the signs.
