In celebration of Poetry Month, the Lackawanna County libraries will be hosting a virtual open-mic night on Friday, April 9th at 4:00 pm. We encourage all teens to come and share their poetry or a published poem they love; as well as listen to others’ works. During the event, we will be giving away two $20 gift cards to the Library Express Bookstore located at the Marketplace at Steamtown. Stop by the library for an outdoor activity. We will have packets of seeds available and will be demonstrating different ways of planting seeds in recycled pots.
Free kits will be available for anyone who wants to make their own.
