Are you using or thinking of using an insulin pump to manage your diabetes? Talk with diabetics who know. Join insulin pump users with/without a sensor in a group setting to share and talk about your experiences. The group is open to children, parents, and senior citizens who are presently using a pump or are considering it. Meeting at the library and on Zoom.
The Abington Community Library hosts the monthly Insulin Pump Support Group on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM. It is free and open to the public. On Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the group is fortunate to have bestselling author and popular inspirational speaker, Donna LaBar, to present at their meeting. Certified by the Institute for Integratvie Nutrition, Donna will bring valuable information and applicable approaches to maintainting and balancing health for quality longevity.
Specifically, Donna will introduce an approach of looking at nutrition facts and balancing the fiber, fat and protein against carbohydrates as they all have different speeds of getting into the cells. Sugar travels fast. The lightbulb of understanding will come on with her unique approach to keeping blood sugar more even to reduce spiking highs. She will have handouts and she will be happy to answer questions.
The population that she has worked with that has experienced diabetes of any form has found her information and guidance to be life-changing. So plan to attend this presentation which is free and open to the public and welcomes Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics. Call Cindy Reynolds at 570-498-3218 with any questions.
