Field Paleontologist Mike and Roberta Straka will present “Mastodons, Cavemen and Bears – Oh My!” at the Valley Community Library on Monday, July 21 at 1:00 P.M. The program will highlight the ice age and explore the life of cavemen and the unusual animals that inhabited the planet. Featuring two amazing skulls that their team excavated, patrons of all ages will get to see actual fossils and early tools of humans. Finally there will be a game of “Are You Smarter Than a Caveman?” Each child will have the opportunity to dig up a real Mastodon bone! This family friendly program is open to all kids while the hands on portions might have age restrictions due to safety.
Registration is required.
