From historical documentations to our favorite children’s book illustrations, the practical nature of pen and ink has led to its well-known and beloved appearance through the centuries. Now too is your chance to experience the many forms of this unique medium. Through this 4-week course, you will have the opportunity to learn dip-pen drawing, ink wash painting, and classic shading approaches. Each session will introduce a new technique with the ability to practice outside of class using materials, and in the end you will walk away with a sketchbook and a fine art piece of your own!
