February’s Classic Movie Night at Scranton Public Library will feature the 1936 romantic comedy Desire, starring Marlene Dietrich and Gary Cooper.  Desire will screen Wednesday, February 15th at 6 PM in the Henkelman Room.

Desire (1936): Beautiful thief Madeleine (Marlene Dietrich) steals a string of pearls from a jeweler in Paris.  She then uses handsome-but-naïve US engineer Tom (Gary Cooper), who is driving on his vacation to Spain, to get the pearls out of France.  However, getting the pearls back from him proves to be difficult without falling in love.  Not Rated; 1 hr., 36 min.
