Event Details

Celebrate Earth Month with Community Cleanups happening throughout the month of April. We are excited to be back with more partnerships and more locations this Spring. The Valley Community Library and the NEPA Sierra Club have partnered with Keep PA Beautiful and other area organizations to pick up litter, do a litter study, and hold conversations about litter prevention, our environment and our community.

On Saturday, April 15th we are partnering with Scranton Tomorrow and the Scranton Public Libraries to cleanup around the Downtown area. We will be focusing on litter’s impact on flooding, cleaning around storm drains, and learning how litter on land and in town can make it’s way into our watershed. We hope to have special guest educators from the Penn State Extension do a short demonstration. This event is geared towards families 8 and older. Guardians must stay with their children.

Registration is required at https://tinyurl.com/y77rhnx3

Supplies will be provided by Keep PA Beautiful, but if you have gloves from last year please bring them. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bright colors.
