Aging with Dignity Event: 5 Wishes!

In observance of National Healthcare Decisions Day, April 16th, the Abington Community Library will have a free viewing of the 30-minute DVD by National Health Care Decisions: Five Wishes followed by a Q&A session on Thursday, April 20th at 6:30 p.m. at the Abington Community Library.
Serving on the Q&A panel will be Attorneys Robert Sheils III and Ryan Campbell, Mary Chris Jacoby Executive Director of AseraCare, and Laura Marion, RN, BSN, Director of Patient Services for Allied Services Hospice.
National Healthcare Decisions Day, observed annually on April 16th, aims to increasing the number of Americans who have completed an advance directive (“living will”), in which they name the person who will make medical decisions for them in the event they are seriously ill and can’t speak for themselves. Experts say only about 20-30% of Americans have completed an advance directive even though all people age 18 and older should have one.The Five Wishes document will help you and your family prepare these directives, and much more.
