What month is National Novel Writing Month? (NaNoWriMo)

National Novel Writing Month is often referred to as NaNoWriMo. National Novel Writing Month began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel in thirty days. Now, each year on November 1, hundreds of thousands of people around the world begin to write, determined to end the month with a first draft. This is an exhilarating literary event that challenges aspiring and seasoned writers alike to embark on a creative journey by writing a novel in just one month.

NaNoWriMo is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that believes in the transformational power of creativity. They provide the structure, community, and encouragement to help people use their voices, achieve creative goals, and build new worlds—on and off the page. Check out their website here: https://nanowrimo.org

The following list is a incomprehensive look at some of the books written during NaNoWriMo. Maybe you’ll see one of your favorite authors here! And who knows? Your book might be the next one on this list!
