Local Donations for the Holidays

November 26, 2024

This holiday season, consider making a difference by donating to local organizations and charities. Whether it’s food, clothing, toys, or monetary contributions, your generosity can help brighten the holidays for those in need.

Local Organizations accepting donations this holiday season:

Friends of the Poor– Friends of the Poor brings together in friendship those who have the desire to give with those who are in need of assistance, in order to ease the burden of living in poverty and enhance the quality of life for all.

Accepts new or gently used, clean, ready-to wear men’s professional, business casual or work clothes, including shoes and accessories.

Accepts furniture donations as well.

Women’s Resource Center– Women’s Resource Center provides direct services to adults and children who are survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and/or human trafficking and to act as a social change agent by increasing community awareness about the challenges of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking so that we may ultimately reduce their incidence.

Visit the Women’s Resource Center donation page to see how you can donate today.

St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen– The Kitchen provides a free, hot, nutritious meal to all their guests every day of the year. More than 250 men, women and children rely on Saint Francis of Assisi Kitchen for a daily meal, food for their household, and clothing to keep warm. With a $100 donation, you can be the “Host for The Day” at the St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen and sponsor that day’s meals.
