Colonial Spies
March 21 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Join us for a special America250 Zoom program presented in partnership with the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Journalist Judi Biederman will take us on a fascinating look at colonial communication and the hidden world of colonial spies. Quill pens, used since ancient times, were the essential writing tools of colonial America. Despite the challenges of literacy, daily life, and scarce supplies, Revolutionary War–era Americans devised remarkably clever ways to share information, including secret spy networks. Participants will gather at the library to watch the program together on Zoom. Registration is required. Contact 570-562-1234 to reserve your spot.
