World Alzheimer’s Month

World Alzheimer’s Month

August 30, 2026

September marks World Alzheimer’s Month, a global effort to share facts, reduce stigma, and encourage early conversations about brain health. Every voice helps create a more supportive future for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. As a trusted source of learning and connection, the Library System plays a vital role in helping patrons understand the early signs of Alzheimer’s, reduce stigma, and access resources that promote brain health and caregiver wellbeing.

Show your support this September by wearing purple for World Alzheimer’s Month. Together, we can raise awareness, spark conversations, and stand with families affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
