Our Maker Monday series is in need of Makers! Do you have an awesome pickle recipe? Do you know how to can?  Can you make wine? Upcoming Maker Mondays:

Intro to Quilting

Monday, June 9th at 7 pm.

Join Briana Townsend and Elizabeth Davis for an introduction to quilting.  They will be reviewing supplies, tools and tips to get started.  Make a fun quilted coaster to show off your new skills! We’ll be meeting in the Community Room for this session.

Essential Oils

Monday, June 16th at 7 pm.

Join Terra McAulliffe for a fun “make and take” workshop where you will learn about Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils, how to incorporate them into your summertime fun, and create your own spray or roll-on for cooling off, bug repellent or soothing  sun-damaged skin. Intro to LEGO Robotics

Monday, July 14th at 7 pm.

Join as we explore the library’s LEGO Robotics kit. Learn how to build and program a LEGO Mindstorm NXT robot.  This program is for  anyone interested ages 12 and up. We’ll be meeting in the Computer Learning Lab located in the basement of the Children’s Library.

Farmers’ Market Challenge

Monday, August 11th at 7 pm.

Bring your favorite dish to share with other contestants for a chance to win a Gift  Certificate to one of the local farmers’ markets.

The Rules:

1. 50% or more of your ingredients need to be local grown.  You can get them from your own garden, the Farmers’ Market or local farm share.

2. Bring your list of ingredients with your  prepared dish.

We’ll be meeting in the Community Room for this session.

Tinkering Lab

Monday, August 18th at 7 pm.

Like to tinker? Want to play with some new fun tools to learn about circuits, programming and other fun stuff?  Bring your own Arduino, Raspberry Pi or tinkering projects to demo or play with our tech! This program is for  anyone interested ages 12 and up.  We’ll be meeting in the Computer Learning Lab located in the basement of the Children’s Library.
