NEPA Match Day Spotlight on Northeast Regional Cancer Institute
April 17, 2017Learn more about one of the #nepamatchday organizations.
The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute is a local, non-profit organization working to ease the burden of cancer in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The three main program areas that they focus on are: community and patient services, hospital and practice support services, and cancer surveillance. The Cancer Institute is unique in that it is an independent, exclusively local entity which allows for the flexibility to respond directly to the evolving needs of the community we serve. The Cancer Institute invests all of its resources in this region.
Check out their upcoming events hosted by volunteer committees including Duryea at Dusk 5K and Festival and Buzz Off Cancer-a chance to buzz off your hair, beard, mustache or get an undercut design. You can also join them on Friday, June 30th at Firkin Friday night at Cooper’s Seafood House in Scranton for a special brew, raffle baskets and 50/50 raffle.
