Lackawanna County Bookmobile Achieves Gold

The Lackawanna County Library System Bookmobile has officially been named a Gold Star Library in the Pennsylvania Library Association’s PA Forward program.

PA Forward is an initiative that recognizes five categories of literacy as essential to the community – Basic Literacy, Information Literacy, Health Literacy, Civic & Social Literacy, and Financial Literacy.

Together, these literacies help build strong communities by providing information and education for all aspects of life. The bookmobile provides services and programs that fall into these literacy categories.
