Children’s Library to Close During Restoration Work
February 4, 2019
Friday, Feb. 15 through Wednesday, Feb. 27
The Lackawanna County Children’s Library will be closed for two weeks while work is done to restore the decorative floors and artwork that depict local history and landmarks.
According to library director Laureen O’Handley, scheduled programs for children will be held in the Henkelman Room at the Albright Memorial Library, adjacent to the Children’s Library.
She added books and other material from the Children’s Library can be placed on hold using the Lackawanna County Library System website and picked up any Library in the System.
Materials on loan can be returned via the book drop on the North Washington Avenue side of the Albright building or at any System library.
The floor restoration is part of a larger project of renewal to the building planned for this year.
