While September conjures up thoughts of new backpacks and cooler weather, it also marks Library Card Sign-Up Month! If you have a friend, family member, or co-worker who doesn’t have a library card, now is the time. Having a library card opens up a world of opportunities for a person. A library card allows someone to not only check out countless books, DVDs, and CDs, but also objects like SAD lamps, LEGOS, and Surface Pros. Additionally, resources like Ancestry.com, Tutor.com, and standardized test prep are all available for free and at your fingertips! How much does it cost to sign up for a library card? It’s free!

Also in September, replacement library cards are FREE. While there is usually a $2 fee, during the month of September, this fee is waived.
