We Have a Book Club That’s Just Right for You!
January 9, 2020
Do you love reading and long for more time to read great books? Let us help you this year by suggesting three different book clubs that meet at the Abington Community Library. If you love a good mystery, join the Mystery Book Club. This group meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM. No registration is required. The title for January 14 is “The Undomestic Goddess” by Sophie Kinsella.
The Afternoon Book Club reads a diverse selection of genres from Historical Fiction to Non-Fiction and Memoirs. The February 19 selection is “The Braid: A Novel” by Laetitita Columbani. No registration is required. Seasoned readers or readers who have never been in a book club are all welcome!
Lastly, you can join Books + Bites which meets monthly to discuss a book and enjoy food which relates to the book in some sense, whether it is linked to the geography of the book or a food item a character enjoys. On Monday, January 27 at 6:30 PM, we will be discussing “The Bookwoman of Troublesome Creek: A Novel” by Kim Michele Richardson. Register at the library or call 570-587-3440.
