A Day of Staff Development
November 10, 2014
Although most county librarians did vote last week, that wasn’t the only reason all Lackawanna County libraries were closed on Election Day. For almost ten years, local librarians have met at the Scranton Cultural Center for Staff Development Day. Guest speakers, brainstorming sessions, and technology updates from the county are among the many activities that have filled our day. We have the opportunity to mingle with other county librarians to help us work better together and to better serve the public. This year we learned about intergenerational relationships in the workplace and we were also entertained by Chef Joe Caputo from Zuppa Del Giorno. The lessons learned at Staff Development Day will enable staff to better help all of our patrons in the future.
