Book Sale
March 28, 2016
Accepting gently used books now!
The North Pocono Public Library book sale will be on April 29 and 30, 2016. We will have another book sale in Fall 2016. We are only able to accept donations prior to book sales. The library will accept donations during the month of March and April. This policy serves to clarify which items are desirable, acceptable, and usable.
Donated items are evaluated according to the same criteria as items purchased by the library, and accepted only with the explicit understanding that the library may dispose of them in a suitable manner.
- The library accepts the following as gifts: bestsellers, classics, general adult fiction and nonfiction, children’s books, good quality paperbacks, DVDs, CDs, books on CD, as well as historical materials.
- The library will not accept the following as gifts: VHS tapes, books on cassette tapes, books in poor condition, musty, water damaged or insect infected items, books with markings or underlining, textbooks, periodicals, Readers Digest Condensed books, encyclopedias, software, and discards from other libraries.
- Please note that undesirable items strain the library’s budget in the cost for their disposal.
