Books for Memory Challenged Adults
June 18, 2019
There are an estimated 5.8 million adults in the United States who live with Alzheimer’s dementia. You may know that listening to and singing familiar music can engage Alzheimer and dementia patients. But research has also shown that books written for these adults provides a special way to interact with adults suffering from dementia. The Abington Community Library carries a selection of books written specifically for memory-challenged adults, including The Sunshine on My Face and Wishing on a Star by Lydia Burdick and Through the Seasons by Cynthia Green. Access our catalog and check out these books to share with your loved one.
