We’re Always Open Online
When the going gets tough librarians get going. With their libraries closed, Lackawanna County’s librarians are working from home to serve patrons with storytimes for children, craft projects and virtual book clubs.
The Abington Community Library has taken to Facebook Live with stories for kids, craft projects and book discussions for adults.
In addition to stories for children, staff at the Valley Community Library are helping adults with instruction in ancestor hunting, an online book club, and virtual book discussions. Take a look at their planned activities for things that might interest you or members of your family.
Library buildings are closed, but the Lackawanna County Library System’s website is a virtual library and it’s always open. You can go there to download eBooks and audiobooks, find things for children to do, learn a new skill, or keep up with schoolwork.
If you’re looking for things to do, libraries are still the place to start.
