Children’s Books Sought as Christmas Presents

You can help make some kids in our community happy this Christmas by donating gently used children’s books to “Operation ‘Dear Santa’”, the October collection at all Lackawanna County libraries. On Christmas Day, the books will be under the tree for the youngsters to enjoy all year long.
Make sure that the books are in good condition, with no tears, stains or bent pages. Then drop them off in the designated container at the Library.
“Operation ‘Dear Santa’” is a PA Forward initiative to promote civic and social literacy and is being done in association with the Lackawanna County Bar Association, Friends of the Poor, Allied Services.
