County-Wide Programs

During SummerQuest, the Lackawanna County Library System is celebrating it’s communities with a variety of county-wide programs for youths. If you cannot make it to an event at your local library, check out another close by. You may discover even more community resources available to you! To register, please contact the library you wish to attend at. And of course, don’t forget to check out our events pages for each library’s programs happening throughout the Summer!
Art with the Everhart
We’re partnering with the Everhart Museum of Natural History, Science & Art for a system wide library event! Join us for a fun-filled event where kids ages 6-12 will create their very own mini-book using drawing, storytelling, and colorful imagination to explore what makes their world unique.

The Colorful World of Bugs and Insects
Experience the world of Entomology like never before with Ryan “The BugMan” Bridge as he brings the colorful world of insects. Children will learn how bugs and insects use color to survive, and everyone will have the chance to hold the live bugs he brings!

Mini Masterpieces
